CHUCK WAGON BEANS

1/2 lb. bacon slices
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
3 lbs. ground beef
1-1/2 cup catsup
3 cups chopped onions
3 Tbls. mustard
2 beef bouillon cubes
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup boiling water
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cans (29 oz.) molasses style baked beans

Heat oven to 375. In Dutch oven fry bacon til crisp; set aside. Drain fat from pan.

In same pan, cook beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.

Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water; stir water and cubes with rest of ingredients into meat mixture.

Cover and bake 1 hour and 15 mins.

Crumble bacon on top over beans.
